Growing Number of ICC-ES Clients Utilizing Chicago Supplement to Aid in Product Approval

Brea, Calif. – ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-ES), a member of the International Code Council family of solutions and the experts in building product evaluation and certification, continues to see growth in numbers of new report supplements showing compliance to the Chicago Building Codes. The supplement is available to any ICC-ES report holder, to streamline the local product approval process.

ICC-ES evaluates to the latest Chicago construction codes, including the 2019 Chicago Building Code, Title 14B and Supplement, 2019 Chicago Construction Codes Administrative Provisions, Title 14A and Supplement, and 2019 Chicago Energy Conservation Code, Title 14N and Supplement, among others.

“We are happy to be able to provide our clients with a means to address the specific technical requirements of the Chicago Building Code and in so doing support the important work of code officials in Chicago,” said Elyse Levy, ICC-ES Senior Staff Engineer.

ICC-ES encourages manufacturers to address jurisdiction-specific requirements, in addition to requirements of the model code, to expedite market acceptance.
